The Hydrographic Office of the Polish Navy has purchased iXblue DriX Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV) through the company’s local partner THESTA. As a result, the USV will be advancing the Polish Navy hydrographic capabilities, supporting advance hydrographic operations through improved technologies.
Advanced Design and Capabilities
Engineers developed an 8m USV to conduct a wide range of missions. DriX excels in hydrographic surveys and is instrumental for advance hydrographic operations. It features advanced sensors such as radar, lidar, and cameras, along with its own artificial intelligence. This enables the USV to analyze its environment, detect obstacles, and navigate safely. Afterward, it executes missions autonomously with high precision.
With its efficient Launch and Recovery System, operators can deploy DriX from a vessel or allow it to sail directly from a harbor. As a result, it can autonomously map large ocean areas in significantly less time, which is crucial for advance hydrographic operations.
